Frequently Asked Questions

How does GardenCal know my hardiness zone?

Just enter your ZIP code and GardenCal automatically looks up your USDA Plant Hardiness Zone and local average frost dates. No account or location permissions needed.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

Your saved calendars stay on your device — there's no account and no profile to sign into. The only time information leaves your phone is when you generate a calendar: your ZIP code and plant names are sent to our server (and our AI service) to build it, then discarded once it's done. We don't keep a database of your requests. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

Can I use GardenCal for both my lawn and garden?

Yes! GardenCal covers vegetables, herbs, flowers, shrubs, and lawn care — all in one monthly calendar tailored to your zone.

What iOS version does GardenCal require?

GardenCal requires iOS 16.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone and iPad.

How do I delete my data?

Simply delete the app from your device. All locally stored data is removed automatically. There is no account to deactivate.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?
